About us

Shape my Health TI Services Limited provide assessment and rehabilitation Services. We live and work in the shadow of the sleeping giant. Our work extends through the Heretaunga Plains like the braided Tukituki and Ngaruroro rivers.

We are a team of health professionals bringing our experience, expertise and commitment to the rehabilitation services we provide for children, young people and adults.

We provide a service to meet people’s needs in a prompt and professional manner.

Rebecca Jackson

Occupational Therapist

Rebecca Jackson has worked in the private sector under ACC contracts since 2001. Her professional interest is within neuro assessment and rehabilitation.

Malenya Forster

Administration

Malenya is the administration manager for Shape My Health. She was a management accountant at the Hastings Hospital for twenty years and prior to that worked in a number of chartered accountancy firms. Malenya has four daughters who keep her busy. She also loves horses and is the treasurer for the Puketapu Pony Club. When she does have spare time she enjoys reading a good novel.

Craig Harrington

Physiotherapist

Craig is a physiotherapist with a wide range of training and experience. He trained at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland and has over ten years hospital physiotherapy experience covering cardiology, respiratory, vestibular, and acute surgical care. Craig has been working in the community and private practice for several years with vestibular, concussion, injury rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal injury patients. He has trained in the McKenzie musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment method of physiotherapy.

Maxine Bevin

Speech-language Therapist

Maxine Bevin has worked in the private sector under ACC contracts since 1998. Maxine has a passion for the assessment and rehabilitation of those with communication disability.

Vanessa Taylor

Occupational Therapist

Vanessa Taylor has worked as a pediatric occupational therapist/ visiting (community) neuro developmental therapist since 2010. She has worked as a community occupational therapist in Australia for a wide diagnosis group for both adults and children. Her professional interest is within assessment and rehabilitation for children and young people.

Linsay Grant

Rehab Coach

Linsay has a detailed knowledge of the body’s muscle groups and exercise routines. She has been a professional artistic roller skater since childhood and has represented New Zealand. She knows from personal experience when exercise or activity feels challenging. Linsay is also an International NZ skating coach. She has been in the retail management business for over twenty years and is easily able to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds, maintain timeframes, mentor and motivate.

Karen Busch

Physiotherapist

Karen Busch has worked as a paediatric physiotherapist for over 18 years. Part of her role is working with community agencies/ networking to support children and their whanau in the community. Her professional interest is within assessment and treatment/rehabilitation of children and young people.

Marieke Flatt

Dietitian

Marieke is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian who spends her time between Hawkes Bay hospital where she specializes in eating disorders as well as her private practice covering all areas of nutrition including clinical and sports. Marieke completed her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Dietetics through Otago University and is very happy to be home and supporting the people of Hawkes Bay to get the most out of their nutrition.

Tobias Schulze

Psychologist

Tobias Schulze manages Talking Cure Ltd, a private provider who has been an approved sensitive claims provider for ACC since 2017. He and his team also contract to Shape My Health T.I Services Ltd.

Claudette McDonald

Psychotherapist

Claudette McDonald has been providing services to ACC since 2004.

Shereen Gorvalla

Social Worker

She has been involved in the profession of social work since 1988. A combination of academic study and social work practice in diverse settings such as Child, Youth and Family services (including Youth Work), Care and Protection, Support and Strengthening Families and Disability sector have given her other transferable skills that benefit Brain Injury Association Hawkes Bay.
